Week in Review.

Wow, what a week. It was WWDC and E3 and both were pretty big disappointments most notably with iCloud, Halo 4 and the Wii U but everything is being overshadowed by the purchase of the new mac that is slowly making its way up to me. Its going to be nice to actually have a computer with some real guts in it for once, my MacBook has been good but its not exactly a powerhouse computer. Here’s the specs:
3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
8GB DDR3 SDRAM
2TB Serial ATA Drive
AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2GB GDDR5
MAGIC MOUSE+MAGIC TRACKPAD-AM
I also bought a 25 inch HP screen to go on the side, I can already tell everything’s gonna look really nice when it’s all finally hooked up and ready to go.

I also went and saw one of my favorite bands this week at their CD release party, I forget the name of the venue but the name isn’t really worth remembering… the entire building kinda seemed like a combination of my granddad’s basement and a really musty legion. None of that mattered once the band started playing though, Dog is Blue put on another fantastic show and every time I see them they seem to get better. I wish I could find shows like this every week to go to, I’d be hard pressed to find a better way to spend my disposable income.

I’m not really sure why but live music is one of my favorite things to go see. As we were making our way to the venue we spotted an older man and younger student on the street corner playing a violin and an upright piano, most people were walking by but I could have sat there for a really long time and listened to them. I find it ironic how two people on a street corner are virtually ignored despite their musical proficiency while others can fill stadiums with their pre-recorded and auto-tuned shit.

I saw Super 8 today too, over-all I thought it was a pretty good movie but my expectations of another JJ Abrams were low to begin with so that may have helped. It was like a more CGI intensive ET (as in E… T… phone.. home…) but ET was a bad ass alien that can move metal with his mind.
Anyways I suppose that's enough for now, I had a lovely evening at the pub with some friends and its time for me to go to bed. Big-ups to Kanchan keep’in it real on da otha side of the world yo.
