Go me.

Its a new day, I have a new work schedule and I’ve decided to hit the ground running with it. I’m going to start waking up early to go for a run before work every day (weather permitting,) I’m going to sign up for access to the work gym, I’m going to ride my bike back from work more often and I’m also going to do a trial vegetarian run for the next two weeks.
Go me.

Hopsin

I'm not really sure why but I've been on a huge hip-hop kick for the past 2-3 weeks. Aside from one audio book and my regular array of podcastsm my iPhone has been playing nothing but Task, Greydon, Tombstone, Nas and Blu.
One person I'd like to see a lot more from is a guy someone posted on Reddit who goes by the name of Hopsin, the song below has great flow but more importantly its got great content as well. Another thing I like about this video is that it goes to show you that will a bit of creativity and a semi-decent camera you can independently create great music and still stand way the hell out in a crowd of wanna be rappers.

Oil Change - Task and Linus

If you ever hang out with me you may know that I've developed a really bad habit of singing along with my ringtone whenever someone calls me. Its stupid, I know, but my ringtone is a hella catchy song. For 7/10, (I don't know whats significant about this date btw,) Task made all of his albums available for free, so far this is my favorite new song from the stuff I downloaded.
If you like what you hear all of the music is still free and available over at his website, a great place to start is with his second last album 'The Movement.' Don't dilly-dally though because its not going to stay free indefinitely.

Same Love

I found out about Macklemore last summer and spent a lot of time listening to his music when I was out running in altona forest.  If you like hiphop that can really stretch the range of emotions shoved into an album then this is your guy, you’ve got songs that include lyrics about getting drunk with Sarah Palin and shooting a moose and songs about falling into deep depression. (That past link is my favorite from that album)
The song below is from the new album and is a bit more on the serious/socially conscious side of things  but I think its a great song, give it a listen.

Canada Day Fireworks.

After dinner tonight back in Pickering I rushed back home, grabbed my camera, hopped on my bike and road down to woodbine beach to watch the fireworks with a friend of mine. Sadly, pretty much everyone else in the area that he was in had the same idea and there wasn't any room on the street cars to get him over resulting in a pretty 'forever alone' evening for me. I made the best of it though, I spent most of the evening trying to take pictures of people walking by and experimenting with some of the settings on my camera.

Here's some of the better shots from the night, most of them were pretty garbage but I blame my lack of a tripod and the massive waxing gibbous moon messing up the auto-ISO on my camera.

This picture turned out slightly more demonic then I intended.

I took this picture after most people cleared out.
