Cottage Weekend

Went up to the cottage this past weekend and had a pretty good time. I tried a bit of stelar photography but all my pictures came out pretty grainy, not quite sure what I was doing wrong. Still had a great time though.

Its normally around this time of year I start feeling the crippling pangs depression as summer slipps away but I'm feeling a bit more optimistic about it.

Graffiti Alley

     Part of working days means that I have pretty crappy weekends so instead of having Saturday and Sunday off I get Tuesday and Wednesday, its kinda crappy but having a social life again is pretty sweet. Seeing that today was my Sunday I figured I'd take a leisurely evening bike ride to graffiti alley to hone my photography skills. I posted a lot more to my facebook but I think I like these ones the most.

   When I was in the alley I was trying my best not to look like a complete hipster but after a while I stopped feeling so self-conscious and decided not to worry about. I've always felt kinda weird doing things on my own, not necessarily in every aspect of my life but things like going for a walk or going to a movie never really felt like something I could/should do on my own. Today was pretty nice though, I went for a walk by my self and watched a sunset by my self.
It felt very peaceful. 

Lost Heads

I've been listening to a lot of Task and Linus over the summer, this is a new song that he worked on with a different producer. Sadly, as far as I can tell none of this is available for download yet.

Its a new day, I have a new work schedule and I’ve decided to hit the ground running with it. I’m going to start waking up early to go for a run before work every day (weather permitting,) I’m going to sign up for access to the work gym, I’m going to ride my bike back from work more often and I’m also going to do a trial vegetarian run for the next two weeks. 

Go me.

Hopsin

I'm not really sure why but I've been on a huge hip-hop kick for the past 2-3 weeks. Aside from one audio book and my regular array of podcastsm my iPhone has been playing nothing but Task, Greydon, Tombstone, Nas and Blu.
One person I'd like to see a lot more from is a guy someone posted on Reddit who goes by the name of Hopsin, the song below has great flow but more importantly its got great content as well. Another thing I like about this video is that it goes to show you that will a bit of creativity and a semi-decent camera you can independently create great music and still stand way the hell out in a crowd of wanna be rappers.
